James 2 - Christianity the works in the dirt

Hello People of the Rock,
What a beautiful week it's been. It's been nice to feel the warmth of the sun again! I know the quick warm-up has caused a lot of issues with flooding & I hope your homes are all dry. Please join me in praying for those affected by the flooding. Also, Pastor Dave left this weekend for a well deserved, long-overdue vacation. Please pray he & Sandy are deeply refreshed & blessed by God during their time away. Pastor Lance is also out of town with his son Eli on an excursion to the Creation Museum. Pray this will be a really sweet time between father & son.
Here a few upcoming events for your calendars:
Spring church work day is April 6th
Women's Spring Tea is April 27th
Our next Worship & Prayer Night is May 5th
This Sunday (3/17/19) we're continuing our series in James. I've really enjoyed our time in James & have really appreciated his blunt, no-nonsense approach to living for God. This week we'll explore chapter 2 where, I believe, James shows us our relationship with God deepens, not in the theories we believe, but in the understanding of God we live out in the dirt of everyday life. Hope to see you at 10am tomorrow!
God bless,
Peter
