The Lame Man

Hello People of the Rock,
I've been on a Charles Spurgeon kick lately & I ran across one of his quotes I enjoyed:
"If I had never joined a church till I had found one that was perfect, I should never have joined one at all. And the moment I did join it, if I had found one, I should have spoiled it, for it would not have been a perfect church after I had become a member of it. Still, imperfect as it is, it is the dearest place on earth to us."
Amen! Despite our imperfections Sundays at Coulee Rock are the dearest place on earth. I look forward to our time together, as a family, each week. This week we'll continue our series "People of Acts" by looking at the Lame Man healed in Acts 3. The main thrust of the passage this week is the power with/through the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth displayed as Peter heals the Lame Man. I would encourage you to read chapters 3 & 4 of Acts to get a good base for our time together on Sunday.
Summers are such a fun time, especially in a beautiful area La Crosse! Here are a couple upcoming events you'll want to make sure you have on your calendars:
Black River Beach Picnic
Friday, June 14 @ 6pm
Coulee Rock will provide meat/buns/utensils. Please bring a side and some friends and neighbors!
I've been told this is one of the best events of summer, so don't miss it!
Worship & Prayer Night
Sunday, June 30, 4-5:30pm
Childcare provided
Looking forward to worshiping the Father together on Sunday.
God bless,
Peter
