Dear Coulee Rocker,
Psalm 27:14 (ESV)
Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!
It is hard to wait. It is hard to be patient. One of the things that is annoying to me is getting tailgated when I am driving. Now I am guilty of doing it to others when I am late or in a hurry. I have noticed how people tend to leave very little margin for getting to work in the morning on time. Therefore, they seem so stressed out in their commute. As I have gotten older, I have tried to build more time in my travel and leave earlier so that I am not late for meetings. I go slower and leave more of a gap with the car in front of me. This greatly reduces my stress. Try it you will like it!
This Sunday September 8th we have some wonderful things happening at Coulee Rock. Pastor Lance will tie up his teaching on “Freedom - A Changed Perspective, A Changed Life”. He has been sharing with us the journey of discovery whereby he has been able to discover and reject some of the lies that have hindered his growth and relationship with God.
Then at 4pm this Sunday afternoon, we will have another time of Prayer and Worship as a church. This activity is vital. Sometimes it has been hard for me to come back to the building the afternoon of a morning service. But I have found the time is valuable and I go away refreshed. Please join us.
Also, Tracy Steele is starting a Sunday School class for the 4th – 6th graders in our church called Trailblazers which will meet on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month. These children will be in the service for worship and then dismissed for class at the announcements. Thanks, Tracy for initiating this class.
