The Bible: An Overview
People of the Rock,
I hope you've all been enjoying our time reading through some of the highpoints in God's Word as we work our way through our series "The Bible, An Overview". In this week's reading I was personally struck by Exodus 14:31. After God delivers the nation of Israel from the Egyptians, literally swallowing the Egyptian army up in the Red Sea, it says "When Israel saw the great power that the Lord used against the Egyptians, the people feared the Lord and believed in him and in his servant Moses." It reminded me of times in my life when I saw the great power of the LORD in my life, and how it made me feel to see the Creator God personally loving me...Awesome!
We're still collecting soups & sides for the WAFER food pantry. I've been so encouraged by all the food already brought & I'm excited to see how much we beat last year's total by!
Tomorrow we'll be continuing our series by looking at next week's reading, which includes parts of the books of Joshua & Judges. the Key Passage this week is from Judges 2:10-19.
I'm looking forward to worshiping our loving Father with you tomorrow at 10am!
