The Bible Overview Week 8

Hello People of the Rock,

Hopefully, you're all coming down off your sugar high from yesterday and not crashing too hard .

Next Saturday we'll have a Fall workday at the church. We'll have good coffee, some tasty treats & fantastic fellowship. Last year a bunch of our Coulee Rock Kiddos filled a tarp with leaves & then worked together to drag the tarp to where it needed to go. Needless to say, it was adorable to watch a dozen kids working together to overwhelm a pile of leaves! Please consider joining us for part of the morning. We always enjoy ourselves.

We have shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child in the lobby of the church. Please consider filling one for a young girl or boy. These impact lives & eternities! Samaritan Purse's website says, "The Amazing Journey of a Shoebox Gift Begins with You and Results in Evangelism, Discipleship, and Multiplication." What a wonderful opportunity! If you'd like to help, but not wanting to pack a shoebox you can always donate for the shipping. Each box requires approximately $9 to cover shipping & other expenses to get these gifts in the hands of the boys & girls who really need them.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you Sunday at 10 am. We're continuing our series 'The Bible, An Overview' and we'll be discussing Isaiah 52 & 53, some really key passages describing the Messiah. We'll also look at the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew as we cross over into the New Testament in next week's reading.
