What a week!

Hello People of the Rock,

I read this quote this week " The only force that is contesting Satan's total rule in human affairs is the Church of the Living God." We are God's church. You & I, all of us as a family, are the church of the Living God. This thought gives me profound peace, strength & appreciation for each of you. Knowing we are in this together comforts & emboldens me. Thank you for being part of God's church. Thank you for contesting side-by-side, shoulder-to-shoulder, for the glory of Living God! (Thanks to Bob S. for recommending & lending me "Destined for the Throne" by Paul E. Billheimer where I read that quote)

We have so much to be excited about this week. The Short Term Mission Team is leaving tomorrow! What an honor, as a church, to participate in sharing the love of God to the corners of the earth! Please pray for the entire team which includes Leah S., Ashley D, & Pastor Dave Lennander from Coulee Rock.

Several of our Junior High students are traveling to Camp Victory this weekend for a Junior High Winter Conference with the other churches from our Region. Please pray God richly blesses our time & draws everyone closer to Him this the weekend. Ethan Schwarz, Olivia Vogler, Seraiah & Bella Steele along with Paul Schwarz & myself as chaperones are attending from Coulee Rock.

Tomorrow the Women of the Rock will gather for a Titus 2 time. Tracy Steele is sharing on being a strong woman of God. I know that Tracy Steele person & can attest to her mighty character & strength in God. I trust it will be an encouraging & challenging time. Please pray God touches hearts tomorrow.

Next Friday is our Children's Museum Outreach. What a fantastic event! Melani M. & Colleen T. have been doing a lot of really good work to get it organized & set up. Be sure to sign up this week so we have an accurate number for food, etc. Also, please be praying for everyone who has been invited to come & experience the love of God in new & powerful ways as they interact with His people from Coulee Rock.

We've only got a couple more weeks to collect the Birthright baby bottles. I really appreciate Birthright & believe this is a very God honoring ministry to support.

This week Anthony will be sharing on 1 Thessalonians "A heart changed by the Gospel". If you have a chance I would encourage you to read the book of 1 Thessalonians, specifically, the key passage 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3, "We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." (NIV).
